Alu 3~ single speed
Aluminum engines 3 ~ only speed.
This type of engine is largely the same as the usual cast iron 3 ~ electric motor, but in an aluminum housing.
An advantage of this aluminum version is the lower weight of the engine.
For an application where extreme thermal load capacity (cyclic overload) or extreme robustness (such as brick crushing installations) of the engine plays an overwhelming role, the cast iron motor can be a better option.

3~ single speed
The three-phase asynchronous motor or three-phase induction motor, is a brushless asynchronous electric motor, powered by a 3-phase AC system. The electric motor is also known as AC motor or reverse synchronous motor.
Pole-changing motors are available in two types. With 2 (dual) or 3 (triple) speeds and with separate windings or Dahlander winding. It is a variant of a three-phase asynchronous motor powered by a 3-phase alternating power supply.
Single-phase motors do not have a unique rotating magnetic field like multi-phase motors. The field alternates (reverses polarity) between pole pairs and can be viewed as two fields rotating in opposite directions. They require a secondary magnetic field that causes the rotor to move in a specific direction. After starting, the alternating stator field is in relative rotation with the rotor.
Trans norm (>IEC355-IEC450)
Transnorm motors are motors, with a shaft height over 315 mm, IEC355-IEC450. A three phase asynchronous or three phase induction motor is a brushless asynchronous electric motor, powered by a 3-phase AC system.
Marine duty motors
The mechanical and electrical basic execution of the rotor nl® electric motors is adapted to marine and offshore application. Given the often aggressive (saline) environment, the RN-series is almost completely available with cast iron motor homes and motor shields. IP23 ODP motors
IP23 motors are very open motors. As a result, the motor can be cooled better and the power density is higher. These motors are often used for refrigeration compressors and bow thrusters.
Water cooled motors
Water-cooled motors, also called TEWAC or IC81W motors, are cooled by providing the motor with a water cooler / heat exchanger. Because of this type of cooling, the motor adds little warmth to its surroundings and is cooled very effectively. This type of motor is widely used for ship propulsion.

Explosion proof Ex-d(e)
These motors are made so that they can stop an ignition (internal). In a Eexd motor openings (flame paths) should never exceed the required dimensions. These openings ensure that the ignition temperature is not reached. There are several typex of EExd motors depending on the gases of Group IIA, IIB or IIC. The motor is physically able to withstand an internal explosion without transferring it to the environment.
Ex-e (increased safety)
Electrical equipment, which is constructed according protection type Ex-e, is not allowed to contain any components, which can cause sparks or arcs under normal use, which could lead to ignition of a near or inside the material located explosive gas mixture. The explosive gas mixture is expected to be able to penetrate into the electrical equipment.
EEx-nA-II-T3 (non sparking)
In these motors the type of protection is obtained by preventing sparks and high temperatures, inside or on parts of the electric motor, which could cause an explosion. This applies under nominal operating conditions. The motors with protection type Ex II 3G EEx nA II T3 and Ex II 2G EEx e II T3 have an almost identical mechanical protection mode.
ATEX DUST motors
Ex II 2D and 3D Ex II according to EN 50014 and EN 50281-1-1. In case of dust-explosion-proof motors the level of protection is achieved by a certain degree of being dustproof in combination with a maximum surface temperature on the outside of the motor. In addition, sparking because of static electricity must be prevented. The maximum surface of the rotor nl® motors in both the Ex II 2D as well as the Ex II 3D version is 125 ° C. This is indicated on the nameplate as T = 125 ° C.
